There is nothing wrong with the use of a trial version of antivirus programs or any other programs. Gives you the opportunity to see if it works as claimed. Is compatible with your system. If you don't like the program you just remove and don't purhcase. If you like it, then you purchase.

Here is a free excellent antivirus program from AOL. You don't have to be a member of AOL, to download this free program for live. Antivirus Shield, is Kaspersky, Labs, powered by Kaspersky, Russia, rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get auto updates every hour, plus background scanner that works in real time. I use it myself.

The trial is only a trial - expires in 30 days and then leaves unwanted files on your computer even after you install it. You should try AVG or Avast Antivirus. THey are both free and pretty good.
Trial versions expire with in a specific period and you have to pay for continuing the services. I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Most trial versions will detect a problem and report it, but not fix it until you pay the money. Or they stop working after 30 days.

Go to http://download.com and look for either AVG Free or Avast. Both are free anti-virus porgrams. Either will do a good job for you.
